

He will be lovingly remembered by his family including his brother, Vernon Parent of
Campbellton, New Brunswick, as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews,
great great nieces and great great nephews, located throughout Canada and his many friends.
He is predeceased by his husband, Clement Chabot, his dad Amedee Parent, his mom Eva
Parent, his six sisters: Wilma, Jacqueline, Shirleen, Donna, Diane and Linda, as well as five
brothers: Leo, Jackie, Maurice, Ronald and Raymond. He is also predeceased by many other
family members and friends whom he loved very much.
Carl lived in Toronto for most of his adult life and was well known in his neighbourhood, most
recently having his own chair at the Second Cup on Church Street, and was a proud and active
member of the LGBTQ community.
He became deaf and blind in one eye at an early age. He was a very independent , kind and
generous person and those around him were always inspired by his strong personality and his
love of life.
Visitation, Funeral Service and Celebration of Life will be held at the Rosar–Morrison Funeral
Home and Chapel, 467 Sherbourne Street in Toronto on Friday, October 18, 2024 starting at
11:00 am.
An additional service will be held at the Maher Funeral Home, 421 Victoria Street in Dalhousie, New Brunswick on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 with visitation from 1 - 2 p.m. followed by funeral service at 2 p.m.
Final resting place for Carl and his husband Clement will be in New Brunswick.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to the teams at Casey House, Toronto Western
Hospital, Toronto Rehabilitation Institute and Toronto General Hospital for their excellent care
and compassion during his final months.
