

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Charles Harquail husband of the late Yvette Landry. Charles passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on April 27, 2022, at the age of 82.
Charlie was born on November 21, 1939, in Dalhousie to the late Joseph Harquail and the late Adrienne Blanchard.
Charlie worked at the paper mill for 39 years. He was a kind and hardworking man, who enjoyed being with people, making new friends and having a good time. During the past years he loved picking sweetgrass and making his crafts. Of course, we cannot forget his passion for bowling, his favorite winter sport where he made many new friends.
Charlie’s family meant the world to him and everyone had a special place in his heart. He will be greatly missed by his 3 children, Shelley, Shawn (Therese), Darren (Lynn). His grandchildren: Joshua, Renee, Joey, Curtis, Justin, Courtney and his 12 greatgrandchildren.
He is survived by his sisters Joyce Legacy (Valmont) and Diana Tappan. Brothers Jarvis “Butch” (Evie) and Gordon “Ti-Nou”, his sister-in-law Jeannine Cleveland (Gary) and many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his sisters Mona Sullivan, Frances Letourneau (Guy) and Jean Carter (Elgin “Buddy”) and his brother-in-law Dave Tappan.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St-Jean Baptist Church on Friday, May 06, 2022 at 4:00 pm.
For those who wish, donations can be made to your local SPCA in Charlie’s memory.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted in the care of Maher’s Funeral Home, Dalhousie.
