Betty Gardner Mullen

Betty Gardner Mullen, 90, of Dallas passed away peacefully on Tuesday March 14, 2017. Betty worked at Gaston Memorial Hospital for over 30 years. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed working with her flowers and in the garden. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Betty is the daughter of the late Rufus and Nancy Pasour Gardner. Her husband, Jerry Ray Mullen, Sr., preceded her in death. Also preceding Betty in death are four siblings – Bill, Joe and Charles Gardner and Mary Sloan G. Dry.

Left to cherish her memory are her two sons and their wives – Jerry Ray Mullen Jr. and wife Peggy and Todd Mullen and wife Tommie. She also leaves behind one sister – Jerry G. Presley and three grandchildren – Matthew, Holly and Jake Mullen.

A Celebration of Life for Betty will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday March 18, 2017 at the Dallas Funeral Home, 212 West Trade Street, Dallas, North Carolina.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Graveside and interment will be held following the services at Gaston Memorial Park.

The family request in lieu of flowers donations be made in Betty’s name to Hospice and Palliative Care Lincoln County, 900 Donita Drive, Lincolnton, North Carolina, 28092
