Blois Katherine Evans Stroup

A native of Blairsville, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late James Randall and Bessie Rose Evans.

Mrs. Stroup was a member of Hardin Community Baptist Church.

She is survived by her stepchildren, Jimmy Yelton and wife Rita of Lake Wylie, Shelby Shelby and husband Frank of Gastonia; brother, Ralph Evans and wife Marie of Georgia; five step-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Reuben Jerrell Stroup; an infant son; brothers, Johnny Evans, Claude Evans, Bob Evans; and sister, Dorothy Jean Newbern.

A funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Thursday in the Dallas Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Clay Ledford and Fain Farmer officiating.

Interment will be at Gaston Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
