Carrie Bell Guy Gibson

DALLAS - Carrie Guy Gibson, 100, of 149 Evans Lake Road, Dallas, passed away on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at White Oaks Manor, Kings Mountain with her loving family by her side. She was born in Waynesville and was the daughter of the late Dick and Artie Radford Guy.

Mrs. Gibson was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jim Gibson; son, Roy Gibson; two daughters, Nellie Shealy, Frances Gibson; three brothers; two sisters.

Mrs. Gibson is survived by seven sons, J.D. Gibson (Linda) of Gastonia, Bud Gibson (Jerri), Howard Gibson, Robert Gibson, Dan Gibson, Terry Gibson (Tammy) of Dallas, Paul Gibson (Teresa) of Belmont; two daughters, Ellie Rhyne (Reuben) of Dallas, Mary Gibson of Waynesville; sister, Ruth Cochran of Waynesville; 34 grandchildren; 47 great grandchildren; 12 great, great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p. m. to 7:30 p. m. Monday at Dallas Funeral Home, 212 West Trade Street, Dallas and the Funeral Service will follow at 7:30 P. M. Monday at the Dallas Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sherman Branch officiating.

Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Gwyn Cemetery, Canton with Rev. Terry Gibson officiating.
