Evelyn Jeanette Carver Pasour Miles

Evelyn Carver Pasour Miles, 83, of Bessemer City, passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at Brian Center of Gastonia. She was born in Mecklenburg County and was the daughter of the late Forest Benjamin and Daisy Lois Coyle Carver.

Mrs. Miles was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church where she was a former Sunday School Teacher, Bible School Teacher, Cub Scout Leader and Youth Ministry Leader. She loved children, loved to fish and loved her garden. She was also a N ASCAR fan, and especially loved Dale Earnhardt and loved to watch football.

Mrs. Miles is survived by one son, Samuel Benjamin Pasour and wife Melissa of Bessemer City; two daughters, Elizabeth “Beth” Goins and husband Rick of Gastonia, Lois Gardner and husband Lyndy of Bessemer City; two brothers, Perry Carver and Benny Carver of Gastonia; two sisters, Sara Hodges of Greenville, South Carolina, Frances Waters and husband Warren of Gastonia; eight grandchildren, Lucas Gardner, Miranda Joyner, Ashley Phillips, Miles Hovis, Stephanie Gardner, Ryan Hovis, Katie Pasour, Caleb Pasour; five great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Dallas Funeral Home.

A Celebration of Life Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday at Bethel Lutheran Church, 509 Long Shoals Road, Lincolnton with Pastor Steven King officiating.

Interment will follow at Bethel Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Miles was preceded in death by her parents; 1st husband, A. Donald Pasour; 2nd husband, Jack Willard Miles; daughter, Cynthia Sue Hovis; one brother, Maurice Carver; one sister, Joan Redding.
