

It is with great love and deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Aldo Carl Zocchi, a devoted husband, proud veteran, accomplished engineer, and lifelong learner, who passed away peacefully at the age of 95 after a life rich with adventure, knowledge, and love.
Born in 1929 in Casorate Sempione, Italy, Aldo came to the United States at 6 months of age during the Great Depression, beginning his American story in modest circumstances. A gifted student, he attended the prestigious Stuyvesant High School in New York City, graduating at just 16. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Brooklyn College in 1951, followed by a Master of Business Administration from NYU’s Stern School of Business in 1952. Never one to rest on his laurels, he completed a second bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering at NYU in 1953.
From 1953 to 1955, Aldo served his country honorably in the United States Army. After his military service, he dedicated 33 years to American Airlines, where he worked as an industrial engineer and project manager. He was a proud Registered Professional Engineer and brought both discipline and creativity to his work.
Aldo was an avid traveler both for his work and personal interests, exploring Uruguay, Canada, Japan, Central and South America, and countless places in between. Whether hiking in the mountains or walking local trails, he found joy in the rhythm of his steps and the beauty of nature. Aldo was an avid sports fan and always had a special place in his heart for baseball. He enjoyed chatting with anyone who crossed his path and could strike up a conversation in any setting. He is remembered for his sharp wit, humor, and love for Italian wines.
He married the love of his life, Enrica Zocchi, and together they shared 60 years of unwavering partnership, filled with laughter, devotion, and a shared passion for discovery. Known for his genuine interest and boundless enthusiasm for the stock market, Aldo was a beloved mentor to many. He loved teaching and sharing what he knew, always guided by his favorite motto: "Learn to live and live to learn."
He leaves behind a legacy of curiosity, kindness, and wisdom that will continue to inspire all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife Enrica Zocchi, son Kent Zocchi, daughter Christine Alvarado and her husband Ron Wheeler, and 4 grandchildren Micaela, Cristian, Sofia, and Emma. He was preceded in death by his parents Gaspare and Caterina Zocchi and his son Alex Zocchi.
He will be missed dearly and remembered always.
