Aline A. Vassallo

A devoted daughter, loving wife, perfect mother, involved grandmother and greatmother. Aline was born June 13, 1914, the youngest of 8 children to immigrant Lebanese parents, Elias and Badeah Ashmore. Aline met the love of her life, Eddie Vassallo in 1938 and was married 45 wonderful years until his death in 1984. Aline was a devout Catholic and a founding member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic church. Her faith and her Lebanese heritage were a guiding force for her life in which she treated her family and friends with love, respect and hospitality. Her Sunday dinners for family with her Lebanese specialties were legendary. At St. Thomas, Aline was a member of Our Ladys Altar Society, Society of the Little Flower and The Catholic Daughters of America. Aline was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie, and her grandson, Gerald Tomlin. She is survived by her children, Julia Murad (Ralph), Joanne Tomlin (Jerry), Eddie Vassallo (Jan), her grandchildren,Louis Murad, Michael Murad, Aline Mitchell, Angela Grover, Edward Tomlin, Christopher Tomlin, Kristen Vassallo, Eddie Vassallo, Her great grandchildren, Caitlin Murad, Marty Murad, Christa Murad, Carolyn Murad, Jackie Murad, Michael Murad, Jr., Julia Murad, Juliann Grover,Hayley Tomlin, Edward James Tomlin, John Francis Tomlin, Henry Tomlin, Cadence Tomlin,Ellie Fitzpatrick, Jack Fitzpatrick and Hattie Vassallo. Services for Aline are on Tuesday, May19 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Visitation with the family is at 10a.m., Rosary at 10:30 a.rn., Mass at 11:00.
