Altagracia C Hernandez

Altagracia (Grace) C. Hernandez, 96, passed away October 09, 2023 in Dallas, Texas. She was born June 28, 1927, in Ennis, Texas to Luis Cervantes and Cruz Limon. Grace was raised in Hastings, Michigan. In February of 1946, Grace married Juan F. Hernandez and the couple had nine children. Grace was a dedicated homemaker, and took great pride in raising her children.

In her spare time, Grace enjoyed dancing, sewing, cooking, making flower arrangements, and spending time with her loved ones. Everyone that knew her was aware that dancing was her favorite thing to do.

Her family will always remember her as a kind, loving, and giving woman. She was incredibly selfless and had a true servant’s heart. She had unwavering faith in God.

Grace is proceeded in death by her husband, Juan (John) F. Hernandez; sons, John Jr., John Jr. II, Henry, Tony, Ramon; daughter, Mary Lou Gonzales; sisters, Elvira C. Rosales, Elena C. Bacerra, Maria C. Sosa; brothers, Jesse Cervantes, George Cervantes, and Lupe Cervantes; parents, Luis Cervantes, Cruz Limon- Cervantes.

She is survived by her son, Benito Hernandez; her daughters, Rosalinda Dunlap and Erlinda Rybij; grandchildren, Veronica Gonzales, Benito Hernandez Jr., Sarah Romero, Lisa Mejorado, Edward Hernandez, Joseph Hernandez, Connie Michelle Hernandez, John Hernandez III, Christopher Hernandez, Laticia Morris, Nathan Dunlap, Corinna Held, Selena Gatica and many loving great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
