

Ann Therese Henry passed away peacefully on May 6, at the age of 93. Therese was born on November 22, 1931, in Chicago, IL, to William and Ann Mannion. She was preceded in death by her parents William and Ann, her husband of 61 years Jack, her siblings Marge Griffin, Rita Greaney and John Mannion. She is survived by her sisters Colette Fitzgerald and Mary Starshak, her children Mark Henry, John Henry (Michelle), Mary Roucka (Randy), Julie McKee (Kevin) and Eileen Davern (Alex), and her ten grandchildren: Julia Henry (Jackson), Sophie Henry, Hank Roucka, Livy Roucka, Joe Roucka, Emma McKee (Oisin), Hugh McKee, Jack Davern, Kate Davern and Tessa Davern.
Therese and Jack were married on February 19, 1955 in St. Sabina’s church in Chicago. They moved to Oaklawn on the south side of Chicago in 1965, then on to Dallas in 1971. Therese worked as an RN at Baylor University Medical Center, her last 30 years in the Gastroenterology department before retiring in 2008. Therese was an active member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Community in Dallas. She joined the parish in 1971, putting three kids through their grammar school, working as a Eucharistic Minister and volunteering on numerous organizations over the next 50 years.
Therese leaves behind scores of family and friends and will be dearly missed. In lieu of flowers, Therese has asked for donations to be made to PLAN (https://jfsdallas.org/donate/plan-donate-now/), a Jewish Family Service of Greater Dallas organization.
Funeral services will be held at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, located at 9643 Ferndale Rd, Dallas, TX 75238, on Friday, June 20 at 1:00 PM. Afters will be held at Lochland’s, located at 8518 Plano Rd Dallas, TX 75238, from 3-6PM.
