This is one of my best friends mom and to see her gone is heartbreaking. Even though I had only met her once, she invited me into her home and treated me like I was her own son. It is sad seeing that I was unable to attend the funeral and support my friend. I know she is in heaven now looking over upon all of her family. 

Even though I miss you, I love you ever so dearly, and I wish that I will see you again sometime. But I know you want me to push on with my life and beliefs, friends and family alike. I love you mom, and I miss you every second of my life. I've failed and come back harder on many things for you and me, and for my father aswell. Rest peacefully mom, I'll work hard always.

I took Mrs. Wilburn's COM APPS class years ago at Jasper High School as a sophomore. I came upon google searches of Jasper High School, no creepy stalking or anything like that but just interested to know what was going on in my hometown and discovered she had passed away and I was shocked. I thought I would write a memory about her as she was one of those teachers that was well remembered and stood out. 

She was hilarious and always had an interesting story to tell. She was quite a character, but what I always remembered about her was how she taught us to be confident in ourselves. She was one of the most confident, self-assured people I've ever met. She helped me be more confident in myself which was good for me as I dealt with a lot of insecurity and a rough household growing up. 

I hope and pray that you are in heaven with Jesus and that you knew him! My dear wishes go out to everyone that knew her and her family grieving the loss. 

I grew up with Ann in Duncanville. Even though we had our ups and downs, she still accepted me as her brother and not her step-brother. There are many memories of her that will always be with me and no matter what, she will always be my sister. I miss her greatly and I wish nothing but the best for her family and I will always be thinking of her. Rest In Peace Sister. May the Lord bless you and keep you. 

I have many fond memories of Ann from our time at Vines, but one really sticks out in my mind.  Ann always looked so pretty, her hair and makeup always model perfect and such a stylish dresser.  One morning she came in my office and had on a lovely pair of earrings.  I commented on them and told her how beautiful they were and how nice they looked against her pretty face.  Of course, she thanked me and left my office to begin her day, or so I thought. She came back around the corner after coming from the nurse's office and had the earrings out and was cleaning them with an alcohol wipe.  She placed the earrings on my desk with a sweet smile and said, "think of me when you wear these."  I wear the earrings often and I always think of Ann when I do.  She had a kind heart and a sweet soul and will be dearly missed.

Dear Sweet Ann, I hope you are resting in peace my friend and may the Lord watch over you in Heaven.

Ann was a very unique teacher. She came to Jasper after I quit as assistant coach of the debate team. She was so funny. She kept me laughing whenever I was around her. I had a stroke sometime near the time we went to an inservice together. She offered to help me in anyway that she could. I will always remember her kindness and the love she showed to her students and co-workers. I am so sorry that I will not be able to attend her service, but if there is anything her husband, son, mother, and brother should know is that she talked about them often. She loved her family with all of her heart. Ann you will be missed. I hope you are in heaven pulling shenanigans on people you loved. Rest In Peace dear lady. 

A beautiful Spirit has left this earth. We will all miss you Ann, but our love for you goes on eternal.

Our boys were good friends in elementary school so we spent some time together. She was kind, warm and very open. Always willing to help and do anything for others. Ann was there for her son at every school event she could make. I am so sorry for your family's loss. Her absence will be felt greatly.
