OBITUARY
Annie A Turner
25 November, 1950 – 8 January, 2021
Annie Turner was the only daughter of six, born on November 25, 1950 to the parents of Alphonzie Turner Sr. and Annie Laura Turner, in Kaufman, Texas.
She attended Burnett High school, an all black school, that was later integrated during her senior year with Terrell High School. She graduated in 1969 from Terrell High school and in 2011 was granted the opportunity to walk the stage at Burnett in an honorary ceremony for the special class of ‘69. She was also a dedicated supporter of W. H. Burnette scholarship fund over the years. Sis. Annie was a joy to be around always giving selflessly and with a smile. After graduating she worked at Terrell State Hospital for a short while before beginning a career at Mead. She spent over 30 years working for Mead Company where she retired and lived her years giving and helping others. She prided herself in staying connected with all her family and friends and made it a point to call and check on all her loved ones when she could. She was on the Family Reunion Committee for the Coleman Family Reunions. She helped coordinate for many years and always had gifts and goody bags for everyone. She spread her love and it was always felt by others through her actions. She attended every reunion for 50 consecutive years. She was very proud of that milestone.
Sis. Annie was a member of United COGIC for many years. In 2003, she surrendered her life to Christ and was saved and later filled with the precious Holy Ghost under the leadership of the late Elder OJ Mays and First Lady Ann Mays. She served as the announcement clerk, choir member and in other capacities at United under the continued leadership of Pastor and First Lady Miller. She enjoyed being an active member in her church and showed up with a smile. As the need arose for more assistance with her health she became a member of Full Gospel Holy Temple with her family under the leadership of Apostle Herman and Lady Danielle Murray until her transition. She loved to praise God and everyone who encountered her praise was met with an overwhelming feeling of genuine joy.
She gained her wings on January 8, 2021. She will be greatly missed from everyone who knew her. She had the biggest heart and shared her love to all she encountered. We will miss her smile and how she gave of herself at all times. She was our angel here on earth. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Baby Turner, Alphonzie Turner Jr, Terry Turner and Step mother Faye Turner.
She leaves to cherish her legacy her loving daughter Lashon (Terry) Marrable, her dearest Grandchildren Markendrick Turner and Breshana Marrable (Xavier), Her only great grandchild who she cherished deeply, Harmonie Traylor,Brothers Bruce Turner, Lee Turner, Charles (Edna) Turner, Step Brothers Jeff(Kiesha) West, Wendell(Trina) West, Uncles Tommie (Linda) Coleman Jr., Bruce Earl Turner, Aunts, Bobbie Lee, Adell (Murphy) Ford, A special sister Thelma, special cousins Regina, Leola, Cynthia and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and other special friends.

I am so saddened to hear about my friend Annie, I hope and pray that you will have strength during this time of loss.
We worked at Mead in Terrell and Garland and had many Thanksgiving dinners at work which Annie cooked for us (what a treat) we all loved her dressing and everything else
From time to time I would work with Annie on the stripper, I had to work fast to keep up with her, but we had fun!

Annie you will be truly missed. I love you because of your strong love that you've always giving for everybody. You have never been partial, you showed no respect of person in the giving of the agape love that you've shared. I miss you already, your journey here on earth is over, but I know that you are with Jesus who loves you more. I know that your love for God was real because of that Godly light that shined so bright in you life. You was the truth barrier that spoke truth. I will remember that every time I would see you, you were always smiling.
I Love You. Until we meet again.

Annie you are now there with our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. A soldier gone home. You have fought a good fight of faith, and now you have your reward. And I'll see you when you return with the Lord Jesus Christ with 10 thousand of his Saints.
I love you.

To LaShon and Terry...
You have my sincerest and heartfelt sympathy in the ‘transitioning’ of your beloved mother and Prayer Warrior 🙏🏽 Knowing Mother Turner for the last few years has been a wonderful and beautiful experience. How I enjoyed the talks and fellowshipping with her in the presence of the Lord.. She was an amazing woman and has left an indelible mark on my life ..
GOD bless and strengthen you both in the days ahead. Always In my Heart and Prayers ..
Much ❤️❤️❤️
