

Bernice was united in marriage to the love of her life, Lawrence Edward Wilhite, on February 21, 1963. Their union was one of enduring love and devotion. She was preceded in death by her husband; her children, James Hill, Gary Don Hill, and Cassandra Miller; her grandchildren, Michael Robinson, Jr., Michael Robinson, III, and Laticia Miller; and her parents.
A dedicated employee, Bernice retired from the United States Postal Service in 1988. She was a faithful member of Metropolitan Tabernacle Baptist Church, where she served as a church mother, choir member, and part of the hospitality ministry. Her life was a testament to her unwavering faith, quiet strength, and deep love for family.
Bernice found joy in simple pleasures—gospel music, gardening, cooking, and spending time with loved ones. She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and the warmth she extended to all who knew her.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children: Duane Reed, Demetric Robinson (Michael Robinson, Sr.), Lawrence Wilhite, Jr. (Vernette), and Tiffany Wilhite; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Maxine Cox; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and dear friends.
Mrs. Wilhite’s legacy of love, faith, and resilience will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched.

A Service of Life will be held at Laurel Land Funeral Home, 6300 South R.L., Dallas, TX 75232, US, on March 31, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 pm.
Committal will take place at Laurel Land Mem Park - Dallas, 6300 S. R.L. Thornton Frwy., Dallas, TX 75232, US, on March 31, 2026, from 11:30 am to 11:45 am.
A reception will be held at Glenn Heights Community Center, 1938 S Hampton Rd d, d, Glenn Heights, TX 75154, US, on March 31, 2026, from 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm.
