Betty Rae Lowell Phillips born September 08, 1935 in Colorado Springs, Colorado passed away on October 25, 2011 at her home surrounded by her family. Betty Rae attended Southern Methodist University and was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. She volunteered for the Chrystal Charity Ball and the United Cerebral Palsy Charity. Betty Rae was a charter member of Lovers Lane United Methodist Church. She enjoyed collecting antiques, decorating her home, and spending time with her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents J Ray Lowell and Mary Elizabeth Rothwell. She is survived by her son Kenneth L. Copeland, his wife Holly, and their children Chase, Kali, and Baird; her daughter Susan E. Harris, her husband Scott, and their children Taylor and Austin; Step-daughter Melodie Adlof and her children Brandon, Blake, and Jarret; and sister Patricia Thames and family. Betty Rae was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother and will be missed by all. Services will be held at Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral Home Saturday, October 22, 2011 at 10:00a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to American Lung Association.
