"Hard working hands are now at rest." A much loved husband, father, grandfather, son and brother, Bill Stanglin passed away peacefully and surrounded by his loving family November 21, 2018 at the age of 79 years old. He bravely fought a two year battle with cancer. He was born on September 26, 1939 in Dallas, Texas at St. Paul hospital to Emmet and Bettie Stanglin.
Billy graduated with his bachelor’s degree from East Texas State University and received his Masters from The University of North Texas. He liked to read the newspaper daily, watch College football and had a green thumb for any type of green plant. He was very active and loved being around people which gave him his energy. He had a love for animals and spending time with his loving family. He also enjoyed traveling including visiting casinos.
Billy is survived by the love of his life of almost 46 years, Wanda Stanglin; two children, Kim Woodrow and Lisa Vaughan; five grandchildren, Rachel Woodrow, Nicole Woodrow, Connor Vaughan; Austin Vaughan and Kennedy Vaughan and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins who will all forever love and cherish his memory.
