

Brady Baxter Scott Sr., age 69, passed away on December 12, 2025, in DeSoto, Texas. He was born on December 24, 1955, in Gastonia, North Carolina, to Daisy Lee Johnson and step-father Carol Johnson, both of whom preceded him in death.
Brady dedicated over 25 years of service with Fresenius Medical Care, where he touched many lives through his compassion, encouragement, and commitment to helping others.
Brady was known for his funny, witty, and smooth-talking personality. He had a natural gift for encouragement and often guided others through life’s challenges with wisdom and understanding. A strong believer in God, he was deeply spiritual and lived his faith daily. He was a loving father, a role model to many, and someone who always seemed to know the right words to say at the right time.
He had a deep appreciation for old-school music and jazz, which reflected his calm and soulful spirit. His presence brought comfort, laughter, and reassurance to those around him.
Brady was also a dedicated member and sponsor in Narcotics Anonymous, celebrating over 25 years of sobriety. He guided and supported many friends through their own recovery journeys, sharing his wisdom and encouragement along the way.
Brady is survived by his children, Brady Scott Jr., Karen Scott, Morghan Scott, Sasha Scott, and Jeremiah Ololo; his grandchildren, Malachi Scott, Ladiya Scott, and Christopher Scott; his siblings, Jerry Fraley, Renee Butler, and Anthony Johnson; his in-laws, Tom Butler, Junior Satterfield, and Connie Fraley; he is also remembered by his former wife Latanya Weaver-Scott; and many nieces and nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his sister, Sheree Satterfield.
Brady Baxter Scott Sr. lived by the words of the Serenity Prayer:
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.
His life reflected these words through his faith, compassion, and the way he uplifted others. His legacy will continue to live on through all who loved him.
