From the moment he was born on Friday, March 12, 2010 in Dallas, Texas, Cabot Webb was lighting up the room. He was a smiley, happy baby and as he grew kept an infectious smile, clever wit, larger than life charisma and a silly “goofball” sense of humor. He made a huge impression on all who met him.
He was a bright light that shined everywhere he went and in his younger years loved being front and center – especially at home where he would put on performances for holidays and “hold court” during family dinner with his jokes and stories.
From a young age, he was a bit of a daredevil with remarkable physical strength who could often be found climbing trees or swing sets.
Cabot was also very smart and loved to debate, and sometimes just argue. He would ask questions or make points that could stump or silence sometimes even his teachers and most especially his parents.
At the same time, he was extremely polite, always shaking hands with his elders, looking them in the eye as he would greet them.
Lovingly called “Cabby” and “Cabot Wabbit,” he was deeply loved and admired by his parents and siblings – his cousins too. His entire family looked up to him.
At the beginning of every school year, Cabot’s parents would tell his teachers that he was their “M&M” – tough on the outside but soft in the center. This proved true throughout his life with Cabot’s tender sensitivity revealed only to those who knew him best or paid special attention. As he became a teenager he, at times, had an awkward shyness that revealed his true humility.
Cabot always made friends easily and they, along with his three siblings, were his most cherished relationships. He will be remembered for his caring way, as a kind, joy-filled soul that got great joy from making others happy most often by making them laugh. He put them before himself.
Christened at Church of the Incarnation in Dallas, Cabot attended church there most every Sunday his entire life. He attended Camp Longhorn in Burnet, Texas for seven summers and Camp Mondamin in Tuxedo, North Carolina for two. He loved vacationing with his family in his favorite tropical spot or skiing down double black diamonds with ease. He played a host of sports throughout his life – soccer, swimming, sailing and karate in his early years and later football, wrestling, boxing and especially weightlifting. He had a “unique” taste in music and played both bass and guitar for three years.
He attended Incarnation Academy in his early years and then Good Shepherd Episcopal School from his Primer year through 8th grade, graduating in 2025. He was very proud to have been admitted to Cistercian Preparatory School and had just begun his freshman year and playing football.
Cabot is survived by his parents, Nikki and Crayton Webb, his siblings Nelson, Mitchell and Lucy; grandparents Kellie and Mike Kauitzsch, Mary Lou Webb Davis and Carter Webb and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins from Oregon and Texas. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Dr. Jack H. Nelson, DDS.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 13th at 2pm at Church of the Incarnation 3966 McKinney Avenue, Dallas, Texas with a reception to follow. A rosary will be held at 6pm Sunday, October 12th also at Church of the Incarnation.
