Cameron Todd Callaway, beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on October 19, 2025, in Dallas, Texas, at the age of 55. He was born on November 22, 1969, in Dallas and grew up in Richardson and Garland, Texas, where he was raised by his devoted parents, Jerry and Lanet Callaway.
From an early age, Cameron showed a rare blend of athleticism, curiosity, and intellect. He was fearless and full of life—earning the nickname “All-Out’er” for his daredevil spirit as a skateboarder, volleyball player, and rock climber. Whether launching off rooftops or soaring through skateparks, Cameron lived up to that name every single time, all while joined at the hip by his younger brother, Brad.
A proud graduate of Berkner High School (Class of 1988), Cameron went on to attend Texas State University in San Marcos, where he joined Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. In the early 1990s, Cameron’s family grew when his sister Jenna was born to his father and stepmother, Laura. He was overjoyed to become a big brother again and cherished every visit with her in California.
Cameron’s passion for technology and genealogy defined much of his life’s work. A true pioneer in the study of family DNA and genealogy research, he dedicated countless hours to the Callaway Family Association, helping uncover generations of family history. His meticulous research and dedication led to the discovery of long-lost relatives and preserved stories that might otherwise have been forgotten. To those who knew him, Cameron’s work was a gift that connected past and present—a legacy of remembrance and unity for the entire family.
Though a deeply private person, Cameron’s love for his family was unwavering. He took great pride in being a brother in law to Melissa and an uncle to Rex, Luke, and Emery, finding joy in every moment he spent with them. His kindness, patience, and quiet humor left lasting impressions on the lives of those he loved most.
Professionally, Cameron was known for his brilliant technical mind and relentless work ethic. From his early years tinkering with computers to his later career solving complex technological challenges, Cameron’s skill and creativity were unmatched. He approached every problem with determination and ingenuity—qualities admired by all who worked alongside him, including his cousin Max, with whom he shared a special bond.
Cameron was a man of deep thought, quiet strength, and boundless curiosity. He lived a life guided by dedication—to his craft, his family, and the pursuit of knowledge. Though his passing leaves an irreplaceable void, his spirit lives on in the countless lives he touched, the family stories he preserved, and the love he shared so freely.
In heaven, we like to imagine Cameron already hard at work—helping the Man Upstairs with any technical challenges that come His way.
