

Carmen T. Sabedra, 92, was born on March 25, 1934, in Dallas, Texas, and passed away on March 27, 2026. Carmen was a beloved, devoted, hard-working, cherished, resilient, religious, admired, and strong woman whose life was defined by faith, family, and steadfast love. She resided in Lancaster, Texas. After this introduction, “Carmen” will be lovingly remembered as “Carmen.”
Carmen was preceded in death by spouse Fernando Sabedra; grandchild David Herrera; mother Cruz Reyes Tristan; father Ascenscion Tristan; and brothers John Tristan and Chavelo Tristan.
Carmen’s family was the center of her life. Children are sons Cruz Sabedra, Mario Sabedra, and Gilbert Sabedra, and daughters Angelina Hall and Silvia Cody. Grandchildren are Mark Cody, Christy Gonzales, Lisa Gonzales, Ashley Modlin, Mark Sabedra, and Greg Sabedra, and many great-grandchildren.
Carmen is also survived by brothers Eduardo Tristan and Johnny Tristan, and sister Silvia Anguiano.
A woman of deep faith, Carmen and husband Fernando were long-time parishioners at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Lancaster, TX. Carmen’s days were shaped by daily prayers, and her steady devotion was a guiding presence to those who knew and loved her.
Carmen took pride in caring for her home, inside and out, and found joy in simple, meaningful pastimes. She enjoyed painting knick knacks, working crossword puzzles, and relaxing with TV, movies, and her novelas—moments that brought comfort, routine, and happiness.
Carmen was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother—a true woman of God—loved and cherished by so many individuals. “We all loved Carmen so much. She lived a good life on this earth for 92 years. She will be greatly missed by everyone."
Visitation will be held at Gonzalez Funeral Home, 3050 N Stemmons Fwy, Dallas, TX 75247, on April 6, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
A Rosary will be held at Gonzalez Funeral Home, 3050 N Stemmons Fwy, Dallas, TX 75247, on April 6, 2026, from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 1537 Rogers Ave, Lancaster, TX 75134, on April 7, 2026, from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm.
Interment will follow at Calvary Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, 3235 Lombardy Ln, Dallas, TX 75220, on April 7, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
