Carolyn E. Macaulay

Carolyn passed away December 10, 2013 from Alzheimer’s disease. She was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on October 16, 1945 to Herbert and Virginia Evans. The family moved to Ft. Worth where she was an active member at All Saint’s

Episcopal Church and participated in many school activities graduating from Arlington Heights High School in 1963.

Carolyn earned her undergraduate degree in Mathematics from the University of Texas in 1966. She was a member of Chi Omega Sorority and graduated Phi Beta Kappa.

She joined IBM and moved to New York City following her graduation. While there she earned a Master’s degree in Education from Columbia University. Her career with IBM took her to Mc Allen in 1976, to Houston in 1982 and Dallas in 1984.

She married Mike Macaulay on April 12, 1986. They enjoyed concerts at the Dallas Symphony and the Dallas Guitar Society. They entertained with their gourmet dinners. They also loved their Doberman’s, Stasha and Inga. They were avid health enthusiasts and members at Cooper Aerobic Center. She was active with several programs at St. Michael and All Angel’s Episcopal Church including the Good Shepard where she prepared baked goods, especially, if it was chocolate.

The family wants to express their appreciation for the many caregivers with Lexington Place Assisted Living Homes including Martin Lugo.

Survivors include her husband, Mike Macaulay, brothers, Herbert Evans, Jr. and Charles Evans, wife, Pat, brothers-in-law Kent Macaulay and Jay Macaulay, wife, Ginny, as well as, nephews and niece, Bill Evans, girlfriend, Carla, and Robb Evans, wife, Lisa, Scott Macaulay and Kate Macaulay and god-daughter, Alexandra Ludwig.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at St. Michael and All Angel’s Episcopal Church, 8011 Douglas Ave., Dallas. A reception will be held in the Parlor following the service.
