Our beloved Claudia Mae Walker passed on to her eternal resting place on March 22, 2020. She was born as Claudia Mae Anderson on August 29, 1943 in Garrison, Texas to Willie Jack Anderson and Girtrue (Patton) Anderson.
Claudia began her early years of elementary education in Garrison, Texas at Garrison Elementary. At the age of 10, she moved to Dallas, Texas where she attended H. S. Thompson Elementary and Lincoln High School where she received her High School Diploma. At the tender age of 14 she gave birth to her first son, Gregory Anderson at 16 she gave birth to her second and last son, Billy B. Anderson; being a single teenage parent Claudia worked very hard. Her love for sewing pushed her to worked at Nieman Marcus as a seamstress full time for several years. She also worked several part-time jobs to make ends meet. Later she worked as a cook at several restaurants until she was the proud owner of Claudia’s Restaurant after her restaurant was closed, she worked at Parkland hospital where she retired.
In 1966 she married Noble Walker, there were no children that came from that union, but she was blessed with her only daughter, Sharon Walker. Claudia was loved by everyone that met her, she knew no strangers. She was known for her domino playing skills and her quick wit and her laugh was infectious. Her laughter and bright smile will be missed.
Claudia was preceded in death by her father, Willie Jack Anderson; mother, Girtrue Anderson; brother, Kenneth Anderson; sister, JoAnn Willingham; son, Billy Bernard Anderson; daughter, Sharon Walker; daughter-in-law, Patricia Anderson; grandson, Montries Jackson and niece Jacquail Moorman.
She leaves behind to carry on her legacy, her sisters, Lovie Shannon and Jennifer Anderson; brothers, Jarvis Anderson and Willie Anderson (Gloria); son, Gregory Anderson; daughter-in-law, Helen Anderson; five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and loving friends.
