Dean Sebastian Parrino passed away on January 8, 2018, at the age of 78. Dean was born on July 11, 1939 in Dallas, Texas to Dean Anthony and Rosalie Zaby Parrino. An only child, he lived in Dallas his entire life and attended Highland Park High School. The Parrino Family was one of the first Italian families to open an Italian restaurant in Dallas. Dean was widely known as the owner of Dean’s Seafood restaurant, opened by his parents in 1948, where he enjoyed conversing with his customers, many of whom became lifelong friends. His hobbies included gardening, cooking, and traveling, and he and his wife loved to entertain at their home.
He was preceded in death by both parents, his wife of 43 years, Bonnie Dell Parrino and his stepdaughter, Sylvia Dennis.
Dean is survived by daughters, Valerie Rodnite (Ellen Lovelace) and Amelia McGuire (Lincoln); stepdaughters, Brenda Brand (Thomas) and Barbara King; grandchildren, Daniel and Vincent McGuire, Cameron and Adam Brand; great grandchildren, Beatrix and Alistair Brand and numerous cousins.
Visitation will be Tuesday, January 16, at 5:00 pm, with Rosary Service at 7:00 pm at Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 W. Northwest Highway, Dallas, 75225. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, January 17, at 10:00 am at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 6306 Kenwood, Dallas, 75214, with entombment to follow at Calvary Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his honor may be made to The American Heart Association, or the charity of your choice.
