

Debra Jean Tucker, 69, passed from this life to eternal life with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 14th, 2025 after a long battle with illness. She was at the side of her husband with whom she had just celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary.
Debbie, as she preferred to be known, was born on May 15th, 1955 in Dallas, TX. She graduated Justin F. Kimball High School in 1973. She was married on March 20th, 1975. She and her husband first lived in Duncanville, moving to Cedar Hill shortly before the birth of their son in 1987, where they continued to live before her decline in health.
Although she spent over 20 years working for NationsBank, her life was mainly dedicated to Cedar Heights Baptist Church, where she served as a choir member, a leader in VBS and AWANA, as well as countless other activities as a faithful member for over 50 years.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Ralph Barnes Jr., her mother, Anna Wilkinson, her stepfather, Dick Wikinson, and her brother, James Ralph Barnes III. She is survived by her husband, Robert Tucker, her son, Jesse Tucker, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and not least of all fellow church members who miss her smile and laugh so very much.
A visitation for Debra will be held Thursday, May 1, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Laurel Land Funeral Home, 6300 South R.L., Dallas, TX 75232. A funeral service will occur Friday, May 2, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM at Cedar Heights Baptist Church, 201 Belt Line Rd, Cedar Hill, TX 75104. A graveside will occur Friday, May 2, 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Little Bethel Memorial Park, 1803 Cedar Hill Rd, Duncanville, TX 75137.
