It is with great sadness that the family of Diane Barbero announces her passing peacefully at her home on Sunday, June 12, 2011 after a brave struggle with cancer. Diane was born November 17, 1942 in Manchester, CT, and was the daughter of the late Amelia "Rose" (Patelli) and Mitchell Anthony Karpuska. Her treasures were her family and their many traditions.
Diane is survived by her husband of 50 years, James Barbero; her daughters, Gina Schoener and Christine Smith; sons-in-law, Randy Schoener and Wayne Smith; her brother, Denis Karpuska and his wife, Becky, and her sister-in-law, Barbara Casavant and her husband, Doug. She will be lovingly remembered and missed by her grandchildren, Nicholette and Colton Smith; Brooks and Cody Peterson; step-grandchildren, Kyle and Lindsey Schoener; and her niece, Kristen Karpuska; and many other precious family members and friends who were all dear and too numerous to mention.
Visitation will be held Friday, June 17 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and the funeral service will be at 12:00 noon on Saturday, June 18th, both at Sparkman-Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 West Northwest Highway, Dallas, TX. 75225.
