Dearest Doan, 
You were always so nice and kind.  We will definitely miss your beautiful smile and spirit. 

May the family find peace and comfort in the arms of one another during this difficult time.

Mom is a very special person. She has dedicated all of her life to her family. She has sacrificed so much for her children and grand children. Words can not fully express her greatness, love, and determination to live to support her family to her last breath.

You created this family and your bright light will never be extinguished.  We share beautiful memories of our times together - the pajamas you made your grandchildren; your delicious, gourmet food; and the kindness you instilled in all the generations you nurtured.

I've known Doan for many years and was always greeted with a smile and conversation.   On  occasion she would ring my doorbell and bring me a little something of fruit. One time I will never forget she brought me a bag of persimmons and I asked her, what are they?  Being the fruit was unique to me I had  to Google and learn about it and then I tried it.  Every season when they come about I buy as many as I can and enjoy them. Every time I do I think of DOAN since she introduced me to them. Every time I go to the store and buy the  Persimmons I always think of her. She has always been a good spirit and know she is now at peace and watching down on her family and friends.

Grandma,
You are truly a special soul. My first memory of you is your sweet smile and arms reaching wide. Years later, just as friendly as ever, you introduced yourself to Matt's grandmother with a huge bear hug - forming an instant friendship. Then, I remember you held Benjie's tiny hand in yours, told him he was handsome and made him giggle. You have that effect on people; you are warm, open, loving, and are beloved by your family.  Thank you for creating such a rich legacy.  I love you, Grandma.

You are the best ba ngoai. Thank you for all of the good food and letting me stay with you when I was younger. My childhood lives in your home. I’ll miss your voice and holding your hand everywhere we went. I enjoyed our weekly lunches this year. Thank you for the memories and for being a good leader for our family. I love you.

Thank you mom for everything, I love you. You raised me to be like you, a strong woman. Throughout my life when I’ve been sad, happy, struggled, and celebrated, you’ve been there with me. I’m happy to be there for you and take care of you until the end. 

Mom, you are the ultimate model of how to be a strong confident person and show me how to live life. You taught me at an early age that if you want success you have to work hard and never be afraid to be yourself. The older I get the more I realize what an amazing gift it was to have you in my life. Doan worked for Army and Air Force Exchange Service (retired)
Doan lived in her own home within walking distance of work
Doan was very hard working and independent inspiring her children to be
 good parents and self-supporting 
Doan loved cooking for her family, casinos and a small glass of beer with her dinner
