

Dolores Rosenzweig Golman, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter and sister passed away on February 13th 2017 in Dallas, Texas at the age of 87. Born in Dallas, Texas, Dolores grew up and resided in Dallas where she graduated from Highland Park High School in 1945 and then attended Southern Methodist University.
She is predeceased by her husband, Donald, whom she married in 1948. Dolores is survived by her children Alan and wife Cindy Golman, Rick and wife Lori Golman, grandchildren Ross and wife Stephanie Golman, Lauren Golman, Brett and wife Sarah Golman, Zachary Golman, Blair and husband Eric Freedman, great-grandchildren Griffin, Jagger, and Natalie, brother-in-law Alvin and wife Marilyn Golman, sister-in-law Cecile Rosenzweig and many loving nieces and nephews. Dolores was predeceased by her parents Rose and Sol Rosenzweig, brother Al David Rosenzweig, brother-in-law George and wife Ruth Golman.
When Don opened his first World Liquor Store on East Grand Avenue in Dallas in 1950, Dolores worked side by side with him until it was time to raise a family. She especially enjoyed being an advisor for Jennie Schepps B’nai B’rith Youth Organization and her time spent as a member of the Shearith Israel Sisterhood. She was also a devoted member of Congregation Shearith Israel since 1948. Dolores’ favorite joys in life were traveling the world with her husband, Don, of 67 years as well as spending time at their home away from home in Carlsbad, California. Dolores and Don shared unconditional and everlasting love for one another. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, playing cards and sharing the company of her many friends and family members. Dolores loved and adored her two sons, Alan and Rick, always taking pride in their accomplishments and wanting the very best for them.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the wonderful Bonaventure Condominiums staff for their kindness and care over the last fifteen plus years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jewish Family Service of Dallas or to a charity of your choice.
A Funeral Service in memory of Dolores will take place on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at 11am, Shearith Israel, 9401 Douglas Avenue 75225 in Dallas, with an internment service following at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Dallas. Online condolences may be made at www.Sparkman-Hillcrest.com.
