Donald "Don" LaRoy Sachse

Donald "Don" LaRoy Sachse, age 86, passed away on September 9th, 2023 in Richardson, TX. He was born April 9th, 1937 in Dallas, TX to W.W. Sachse "Woodie" and Anna Marie Ghallager. Don was raised in Garland, TX and graduated from Jesuit High School.

Don was fortunate enough to have met two wonderful women in his life. He married his late wife, Sharon J. Cummins and the couple had 4 children. After her passing he met his second wife, Patricia A. Burnett. He was an Outside Business Dev. for Glidden & ici Corp. at Garland, TX where he worked for more than 30 years.

In his spare time, Don loved spending time at beach at the time share in South Padre Island, Tx. He would take Patricia to the casino ever so often. He loved his farm and herd of goats, donkey and dog, Joy Freckles Sachse.

His family and friends will always remember him as a kind hearted man that made friends wherever he went. He always had a joke and a smile. Don was a religious, kind, patriotic man who loved life and his family... and goat herd.

Don was an avid supporter of: Sachse Historical Society, St. Judes and many other organizations. He was a 4th degree Knight of Columbus with Good Shepherd Parish. He joined many years ago with his dad, W.W. Sachse who was also a 4th Degree member of Council 799.

Donald was a 4th generation Texan. His great great grandfather, William Sachse of Prussia founded Sachse, TX. in 1845. The original houstead still exists and this is where Don's Farm is situated with his small goat herd, originally named The Lone Elm Ranch. On his Mother's side, The Ghallager , from Ireland, were instrumental in establishing St. Anthony's Church in Wylie, TX and Anna Marie's father was the Constable "Peace Keeper" at that time.

Survived by: wife, Patricia Sachse; Oldest daughter, Cynthia Sachse of Dallas, TX; daughter, Tracy and husband Robin Brasuell of Mesquite, TX with children, Jennifer, Steven and Jordan; son, Sean P. Sachse of Sachse, TX with children, S.Nicole, Christian and Braxton Gr., and their mother, Lana; Children of late son, Bryan Sachse, Brandon, Blair and Brooke; step-daughter, Nancy and husband Rich with child Elliott; step-daughter Susan and husband Michael with children, Noah and Ryan; wife of late step-son David, Ramona and children, Lauren, Lanie, Thomas, Brian and Anna
