On Monday, June 21, 2021, Don Stutts, a loving husband, father of six children, grandfather, brother and uncle, passed into heaven at the age of 71. Don, one of eight children, was born on February 12, 1950, to Orlin and Gladys Stutts in Ripley, Tennessee.
He married Rosalinda Rubio at age 16 and proceeded to have five children. Don was a natural when it came to the art of business; he understood people more than they understood themselves. Trouble-shooting was a hobby, and he possessed a mechanical mind that could understand the most complex projects. He purchased his first business at age 18, which was a gas station. Through the years, Don owned many different businesses to support his family. His mantra was “Can’t never could ”. Don enjoyed multiple forms of entertainment, including horse racing, auto racing, gambling, cooking and old westerns on television. He will be remembered for his generosity to so many people, touching their lives in many different ways. When Don was in your corner, the battle was won. Although his acts of kindness were performed unconditionally, if you ever wondered who your anonymous benefactor was . . . look to Don.
On June 2, 2001, he married Kim Capua and they had a son, Jarrett. During their 20 years of marriage, Don and Kim were each other’s best friend while living together, working together and laughing together. Don is preceded in death by his father, mother, son AJ, sister Judy, niece Theresa, and nephew Bobby T. He is survived by his wife Kim, his five children who are Nan Stutts Baker and her husband Bill, Sofia Stutts, Pecca Stutts Kauitzsch and her husband Steve, Liz Stutts Way and her husband Jacob, Jarrett Stutts, three brothers, three sisters, five grandchildren, eighteen nieces and nephews, an uncle and many cousins.
