Donald Deloss Workman Sr.

Donald Deloss Workman Sr. passed away on December 13, 2025, at the age of 86. Born on February 14, 1939, in Benkelman, Nebraska, Donald was raised in Laird, Colorado, where he graduated from Laird High School. He furthered his education at Trinidad Junior College.

Donald served his country with distinction, dedicating four years to the Navy before a 22-year career in the US Air Force, retiring as a Master Sergeant. He worked as an HVAC Technician for Plano Independent School District for over 15 years.

In 1964, Donald married Dioselina, with whom he shared a loving family life. He is survived by his wife Dioselina Workman, son Donald D. Workman Jr. and wife Donna, daughter DeLaine R. Land and husband Paul; grandchildren Courtney & Isaac Villa, Chloe Workman, Micah & Caroline Land, Mark & Adrienne Land, Macie Land, and Matthew Land; brothers Ronnie Workman, Dennis Workman and wife Jeanette; along with countless nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Permelia, sister Delores Jensen, sister Judy Minton, brother Charlie Workman, brother Rodney Workman, sister Marlene Workman, sister Darlene Workman, sister Katie Walker, and sister Donna Wiggins.

Donald loved to garden, spend time with his family - especially his grandchildren, play cards, fish, and do puzzles. He was also active in the Lavon Drive bus ministry for over 20 years and cherished his faith and family deeply. He will be remembered as a thoughtful, kind, hard-working, devoted, and easy-going man.

Funeral services will be held at Lavon Drive Baptist Church, 1520 Lavon Dr, Garland, TX 75040, on December 20, 2025 at 10:00 am. A graveside service will take place at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211, on December 22, 2025 at 9:00 am.

Donald Deloss Workman Sr.'s legacy of love, service, and devotion to his family and community will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
