Dee Dee Andrews was born on May 20, 1952, in Dallas, TX to the late Howard and Robbie Nell Andrews. She was raised with three siblings. She graduated from Madison High School in 1970 and also as part of a dual program, she graduated from Rutherford Business College in 1970. From there, she went on to establish her career as an accountant and personnel manager. She was the proud parent of one daughter, Chantrell Goodgames. Doris had
a passion for gardening and decorating. Dee Dee could work wonders with a can of spray paint and her imagination. Dee Dee loved to cook and bake
anything in the cupboards and freezer. She loved old westerns, peanut butter crackers and anything sweet. She was well-known for keeping it
“real.” You always knew what was on Dee Dee’s mind and where you stood—all with her beautifully manicured nails and fashion model hats.
When Chantrell was little, so many would call Dee Dee Mahogany or the “black Wonder Woman.” Dee Dee’s memory will live on in her daughter, Chantrell “Toot” (Ken) Goodgames, and her sisters Cathy (Don) and Verdell “Pee Wee” (Mike). In addition, she leaves to cherish her memory her grandson, Kennedy “Trey” and granddaughter, Gabrielle “Gabby,” four nieces and two nephews. And he also said, It is finished! I am the Alpha and the Omega—the
Beginning and the End. To all who are thirsty I will give freely from the springs of the water of life. All who are victorious will inherit all these
blessings, and I will be their God, and they will be my children.
Revelation 21:6-7 (NLT)
