Dorothy L. Kelly

Dorothy Lou Kelly was born in Dallas, Texas to Mary Ethel Wallace Marlar and Garland Wayne Marlar on November 8th, 1925. She entered into Heaven on November 10th, 2011 with many loved ones at her side. She was a member of Lakewood Assembly of God for more than fifty years. Preceding her in death are her husband of 47 years James J. Kelly, her daughter Carolyn Jean Kelly, her granddaughter Pamela Motl McNew and grandsons Shannon and Jeffrey McNew. Survivors include her son James W. Kelly and his wife Mary Ann of Plano, Texas, daughters Linda Kelly Motl and her husband Gary of Athens, Texas, Mary Kelly Palmer and her husband Bill of Mesquite, Texas and Sally Kelly Ward and her husband Gene of Athens, 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, one Great-Great Grandson and life long friends Patsy Norvell and Lil Hipp.

Visitation will be on Sunday, November 13, 2011 at Sparkman/Crane Funeral Home, 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The Celebration of Life for Dorothy will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 14, 2011 in the Chapel of Sparkman/Crane Funeral Home. Rev. Alan Lynch, of First Baptist Church in Dallas, officiating. Interment in Laurelland Memorial Park, Dallas, Texas.
