Douglas Gordon Owens was born in Berea, Kentucky. At a young age he moved to Lancaster, TX with his parents. Douglas later married but eventually divorced. He fathered his surviving sons; Brian Owens and Jeffrey Owens. He is also survived by his sister Donna Henard. He worked years with Therma King Frigeration and was known for his mechanical skills and his love for racing.
His much loved companion, a dog's best friend "Tootie" will miss him dearly.
