Edwin Douglas Creech was born on October 8, 1965, in Dallas, Texas, to Henry Edward Creech and Victoria Mitchell Creech, both originally from South Carolina. He entered eternal rest on August 23, 2025, at the age of 59.
From a young age, Edwin embraced his faith and became a member of Denley Drive Christian Church. His spiritual journey remained a guiding force throughout his life, and in his later years, he worshipped faithfully at the Church of the Living God under the leadership of Pastor Charles Ragsdale.
Edwin was educated in the Dallas Independent School District and graduated from the Transportation Magnet School in 1982. He pursued higher education at Jarvis Christian College and later continued his studies at West Texas State University in Amarillo. While there, he pledged Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., proudly crossing into the Epsilon Pi Chapter on April 4, 1987.
Edwin was known for his infectious laughter, magnetic personality, and boundless energy. He lived with intention and joy, believing that happiness was meant to be shared. His love for laughter and connection led him to the comedy stage, where he performed alongside local artists, leaving audiences uplifted and inspired.
He now joins his father, Henry Edward Creech, and his beloved grandparents in eternal peace. Edwin leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering faith. His mother, Victoria Creech, will forever carry his memory in her heart. He is also survived by his sister, Toni Norman, and brother-in-law, Calvin Norman; niece, Kailee Norman; nephew, Keanu (KJ) Norman; along with a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, fraternity brothers, church family, and dear friends who will miss him profoundly.
Edwin’s life was a radiant gift. His light continues to shine in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him
