Eleanor Jane Etheridge passed away on May 31. She is survived by her life partner of 42 years, Judy Webb; brother Howard Etheridge, sister-in-law Suzanne Etheridge, nephew Peter Etheridge and great-nephew Peter Clark Etheridge. Eleanor is preceded in death by her mother, Eleanor Hall Etheridge, and father, H. Clark Etheridge. She is a lifelong Dallas resident and graduate of Highland Park High School.
Eleanor is loved by many. She has her father’s smile and sense of humor, and looks quite like her mother. Eleanor is defined by her wit, pure heart and generosity. Everyone recalls her easy way of making people at ease with laughter. Eleanor is curious and passionate about her interests. She was dedicated to her Abyssinian cats. She was inspired to play guitar at an early age by her love of Glen Campbell. She revered Mickey Mantle. She is also known for her sense of style, mixing Ralph Lauren with Converse All-Stars. She will be missed by all as a vibrant force of light in our lives.
