Elena Abdo

After completing high school in her hometown of Cluj Napoca, Elena immigrated to the United States, where she pursued her calling in nursing. She earned her associate’s degree in nursing (LVN) from North Central Texas College and went on to serve with compassion and dedication at The Villages of Lake Highlands (Dallas) and Collinwood Nursing and Rehabilitation (Plano).

In the summer of 1988, Elena married Iosif Henn, building a home filled with love, warmth, and the comforting aroma of her Romanian cooking. A devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, she found joy in time spent with family, in the kitchen preparing meals from the heart, and in the companionship of her beloved cats.

Elena is survived by her sister, Matran Ildiko; her sons, Matthew Monzon (Marlen), Clayton Jones (Casie), and Christopher Henn (Charles); her grandchildren, Christopher Monzon and Christina Monzon; and many dear friends whose lives she touched with kindness and quiet generosity.

A visitation for Elena will be held on Friday, May 9, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Sparkman-Crane Funeral Home, 10501 Garland Rd., Dallas, Texas. A memorial service will follow at 12:30 p.m., with burial at Sacred Heart Cemetery, 3900 Rowlett Rd., Rowlett, TX.

She leaves behind a legacy of love, care, and enduring family bonds. Elena will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
