

Ernest Molina Valdez, age 90, of Dallas, Texas passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2024 in Dallas, Texas. He was born October 12, 1933 in Rosebud, Texas to Manuel Valdez and Guadalupe Hernandez. Ernesto was raised in Calvert, Texas and married Olga Espino Valdez in 1972. The couple had three children while he served as a welding engineer and quality control manager at Weben-Jarco, Inc.
In his spare time, he enjoyed sitting in his office while reading and studying his Bible as well as, practicing church hymns. He loved watching western films and catching the Dallas Cowboys games. He was very handy and had carpentry skills he acquired from his father. He enjoyed waking up early, making a cup of coffee and sitting on the porch watching as the cars go by.
His family and friends will always remember him as a faithful servant of God. Someone who dedicated himself to spreading God's word and teaching his family to love God and others. He was a playful man that showed love through laughter and joking.
He is preceded in death by his father, Manuel Valdez; step-mother, Guadalupe Hernandez Valdez; biological mother, Juanita Molina Valdez; sisters, Susan Valdez, Antonio Cordova, Eulalia Valdez; brothers, Emilio Valdez, Gilberto Valdez; Raul Valdez and Manuel Valdez, Jr..
He is survived by his wife, Olga Espino Valdez, sons, Eduardo (Carmen) Valdez, Ernesto Molina Valdez, Jr.; daughters, Leonor (Juan) Mejia, Martha Valdez, Josefina Valdez, Olga (Edward) Galvan, Miriam (Gabriel) Hinojosa; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
He and his former spouse, Manuela Lopez had four children. He later married Olga Espino and had three children.
A visitation for Ernest will be held Friday, February 2, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Gonzalez Funeral Home, 3050 N Stemmons Freeway, Dallas, Texas 75247. A funeral will occur Saturday, February 3, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Westside Iglesia De Cristo, 146 N Bond Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75211. An interment will occur Saturday, February 3, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Calvary Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, 3235 Lombardy Lane, Dallas, Texas 75220.
