Esquire Conner, Jr. was born on February 26, 1939 in Mexia, TX to the parents of the late Warren and Annie. Esquire was later raised by his grandmother, Camilla Conner. He accepted Christ as his savior at an early age and served him until the day he departed from this world. He received his education from the Mexia Public Schools and graduated from Dunbar High School. After graduating from High School Esquire married the love of his life Mildred of 58 years and then decided to serve his country by enlisting into the United Sates Army. While serving his country Esquire and his loving wife, Mildred started a family where they eventually had four beautiful children. After serving several years, he was honorably discharged in 1963.
One of his spiritual milestones was when he was elected, ordained and installed to be a deacon at The Hope Presbyterian Church in Dallas Texas. In 1972, he attended El Centro Junior College where he earned an Associate Degree in Business. Esquire and Mildred became members of Glendale Presbyterian Church where they remained faithful members for over 30 years. They started attending Word of Truth Family Church to support their oldest son and are considered founding members from 2005 until present.
Father Conner, as he was lovingly referred to by many at church, and uncle Square by family members, loved music, eating popcorn and loved playing dominoes! For years he was a volunteer DJ at the KNON radio station. Esquire was a person who enjoyed being full of life and laughter. He was a father to many, and will be deeply missed by his family, friends, neighbors and church family.
On Tuesday, January 28, 2020 Esquire Conner, Jr. entered into his eternal home of Glory. He was welcomed by his parents Warren and Annie Conner; his four brothers, Charlie, Virgil, Warren and Archie and his two sisters, Dorthey and Anne.
Esquire leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife of 58 years, Mildred Conner; his two daughters, Debra & LaTonia and his two sons, Eben (Sara) and Mark. He also had three grandchildren Christina, Heaven and Landon along with and many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, friends and a loving church family.
