Etta Mae McClinton Hodges was born September 15, 1950 in Monroe, La. Etta was the third child born to the late Hal Jr and Ellen Marie McClinton. Etta accepted Christ at an early age at the Greater Flowery Mount Missionary Baptist Church. Etta was a 1968 graduate of Carroll High School, the Mighty Bulldogs in Monroe, La and attended Grambling University.
Etta later moved to Dallas, Tx in 1969 and worked for Safeway as a checker.
In 1970, she started a career with formally Bell South where she held numerous positions.
Etta married the love of her life Frank Hodges, on July 11,1971, and to this union one son, Zavier was born.
In the early 1970's Etta joined New Birth Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Dr. George W. Pryor and continue to serve under the leadership of pastor Michael D. Pryor.
Etta retired from Bell South in 2003, after 33 years of faithful and dedicated service. Etta later returned to work after five years as a bus monitor for Dallas Independent School District.
Etta was a big collector of Coke products and enjoyed spending time with her family and going on trips, she also enjoyed viewing her nephew's Sunday Service on Facebook.
Etta is preceded in death by her parents Hal Jr. and Ellen Marie McClinton; and sister Barbara Ann McClinton.

Sisters; Deloris Riley, Monroe, La, Jeanette Townsend, Detroit, Mi, Romona McClinton (Donnie), Lancaster, Tx Brothers; Milton McClinton, Dallas, Tx, Michael McClinton (Deloris), Dallas, Tx, Anthony McClinton, Dallas, Tx, Roderick McClinton (Felicia), Forney, Tx, Broderick McClinton (Ashley), Lancaster, Tx. and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, ex coworkers and friends.
