Eugena Marie Moreno

EUGENA "GENA" MORENO, 58 of Mesquite, Texas went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 11, 2013. She was born on September 22, 1954 in Pilot Point, Texas; the daughter of Eugene and Martha Stewart. Gena truly enjoyed spending time with family and friends when she wasn't busy with her daughter and her activities. She worked as a dental assistant for many years before deciding to work with her husband at the family print shop. Gena is preceded in death by her mother, Martha Stewart; her father, Eugene Stewart and son Anthony Moreno. Surviving is her husband of 40 years, Richard Moreno; daughter, Julie Platter and husband Samuel; brother, Bill Stewart; granddaughters, Shelby Richter, Bayleigh Platter and Brooklyn Platter and a host of family and friends. She is the bravest, toughest woman I know. She loved life and always tried to make the best of any situation. Gena was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend. The lives she touched in her 58 short years will be forever changed for the better. She always reminded me about something her mother once said..."God will never give you more than you can handle". She always believed in those words and never lost faith with everything that was thrown at her. Simply said, she was amazing. Her personality, her smile, her laughter...she will be missed dearly.
