He was born on October 05, 1941, in Malone, Texas to Ben and Ruby Symank.
Eugene was baptized on November 16, 1941, at Salem Lutheran Church in Malone, Texas and was confirmed there on May 20, 1956. For many years he was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church Dallas where he served as Elder and Trustee. In 2008 he transferred to Zion Lutheran Church Dallas, where he continued to use his talents and skills in the church and school.
Eugene’s entire career was in the floor covering industry. He began working at Lewis Carpet Mills in 1962 and a short time later he and his brother formed their own flooring business in which Eugene remained a partner until his death.
He is survived by Judy, his loving wife of 35 years, two brothers and three sisters and their spouses, and Judy’s three sisters and one brother and their spouses. Also survived by numerous nephews, nieces and a host of loving friends.
