Eva Galvan Cervantes passed away on September 21, 2025, in Fort Worth Texas. She was 82. Eva was born July 9, 1943 in Driscoll, Texas to Amparo Salazar Galvan and Leocadio Galvan. After graduating high school, she moved to Dallas where she met the love of her life, Carlos Cervantes. They were married November 25, 1967.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Carlos, two brothers, Jesus and Jose Galvan. She is survived by her son, Raymond Cervantes III, his wife Rebecca, granddaughter, Rachel, and three sisters, Mary Escobar (Roland), Lupita, and Connie Galan (Mike), five nieces and numerous cousins.
Eva had a passion for sewing, not only for herself, but for her three sisters, and later for her granddaughter. She sewed many dresses and hairbows for Rachel. An especially memorable creation was an elaborate “Juliet” costume she made for Rachel to wear for “Book Character Day” in Elementary School.
She was a devoted mother and housewife and often helped Carlos with phone calls and office work for his pest control business.
Eva was a die-hard Cowboys fan and never failed to cheer for them--win or lose. Go Cowboys!
Though we say goodbye to Eva, we find solace in knowing that her love and spirit will live in our hearts and in the lives she touched.
