Faustina Martinez, age 96, of Dallas, Texas passed away on Monday, January 20, 2025. She was born on February 15, 1928 in Elsa, Texas to Lorenzo Cancilla and Faustina Lopez. Faustina was raised in McAllen, Texas.
She married, Juan F. Hernandez in 1946 and they had 9 children. He was a dedicated Janitorial associate at Earle Campbell Federal Building for more than 30 years.
In his spare time, Faustina enjoyed watching novelas, going shopping, dinning at Margaritas and Casita as well as Calle Doce.
Her family and friends will always remember her as a friends, kind generous, joker and loveable person.
She is preceded in death by: her first husband, Juan F. Hernandez; second husband, Jesse Martinez; daughter, Esther Abelino; son, Juan Jr.; son, Faustino; and daughter, Maria Virginia.
She is survived by: children, Alicia, Jose Valentin, Maria Inez, Martha Helen and Mary Christine; 46 grandchildren and many great grandchildren and many great great children.
"Our mother was a strong woman. She taught us the value of an education, about strong work ethics, and how to be responsible adults. She taught us that we were to be clean at home and in our everyday life. She left us with good lessons to fall back on. She loved GOD and believed in Him."
