Felix "Mike" Doran III

Felix (Mike) Doran, passed away on October 2, 2014. He was born on February 4, 1924 to Felix Doran, Jr. and Lucille Heusinger Doran in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He graduated from the University of Detroit High School and spent a semester at Notre Dame before going into the army.

He spent his career at Doran Chevrolet, Inc. He was so proud to be a Chevrolet dealer for 52 years. He looked forward to his Wednesday and Saturday golf games and the gin rummy games around the “big table.” He was a member of the Dallas Country Club since 1947 and Brook Hollow Golf Club since 1964.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Felix and Lucille Doran, his son, Felix Michael Doran, his brother, Ed Doran and sister-in-law Eugenia Doran

He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary, sons Pat Doran, Jim Doran and wife Marti and daughter MaryAnne Mathews and husband Joseph Mathews, granddaughters, Amie and Meredith Mathews and Taylor Doran and his longtime friends, Dr. Ed Crow Miller and Dr. Charles Simpson as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Ed Doran, Jr., Dick Hairston, Jim Hairston, and David Hairston.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at Christ the King Catholic Church, 8017 Preston Rd. Dallas, TX 75225 with entombment to follow at Calvary Hill Mausoleum in Dallas. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:00 pm on Monday, October 6, 2014 at Sparkman/Hillcrest, 7405 W.
