Gabriel was a Sergeant who selflessly served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was tenacious in his fight in combat as he was in his battle with the corona virus. More-so, he was a family man who made it his life’s work to show his love and adoration to his wife and family, with the heart of a child who would do anything to make them smile. A Carpenter by trade, he was a man’s man who loved to engage in banter with friends and family and even strangers. He was one of the biggest Dallas Cowboys football fans we’ve ever known and life long bingo lover. His contagious smile, his laugh and his louder-than-life voice will forever be missed.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 54 years, Consuelo Cavazos; his son, Steve Cavazos; his daughter-in-law, Teresa Cavazos; his daughter, Kimberly Ramirez; his son-in-law, David Ramirez; as well as his 5 grandchildren, David Angel Cavazos, Issac Andrew Cavazos, Alyssa Marie Cavazos, Jaslyn Faith Cavazos and Ava Grace Ramirez; his great grandson Isaiah Leon Villareal; and his siblings, Daniel Cavazos, Cecil Cavazos, Gina Escobedo and Arthur Cavazos.
