Gary Lee Bolden

Life Reflections of Gary Gary Lee Bolden was born on January 28, 1956 to the parents of Howard G. L. Bolden and Hazel Mae Chatman in Dallas, Texas. He was the sixth child out of eight children. Gary attended Wilmer Hutchins Independent School District. Gary worked numerous jobs until he decided that truck driving was for him. He was a dedicated truck driver for over 20 years. He ended his career at BCB Transport in Mansfield, Texas. Gary was always the life of the party; he was never shy in a crowd. You heard him, and saw him (and those red shoes!). He never met a stranger in life. You could always find him outdoors; he loved yard work, tinkering outside, and washing cars. Gary made his backyard his sanctuary. Gary was known to be loyal, and this was evident by his numerous lifelong friendships. He was a determined, strong-willed man, and he always had the last word. Gary loved his family. He was a hard working, dedicated family man. There was nothing that he wouldn't do or couldn't do for them, and sometimes it came with extra...mouth! Gary met the love of his life, Linda, in 1985. Gary's captivating personality and 80's swag swept her away. Gary and Linda married in 1990. This started a lifetime union that resulted in the birth of their daughter, Brianna. Gary also raised Linda's two daughters, Shelvia and Marie, as his own. Gary and Linda were known as a committed, loyal, and doting couple. The support and love they showed to each other was enduring. On November 20, 2016, Gary was welcomed with open arms into his eternal home by his father, Howard G. L. Bolden; his mother, Hazel Bolden; his son, Bernard Jordan; his brothers, Larry and Thurmon. Gary leaves behind his wife of 31 years, Linda; his daughters Brianna, Shelvia, and Marie; four granddaughters Mariah, Heaven, Madison, and Camille; two brothers Robert (Candy), Howard; three sisters Linda Sue (Billy Ray), Patricia (Chester), Janice; four brother in-laws Charles, Dennis, Willie, Eddie Jr. (Patricia); a special sister in-law Gloria, and two sister in-laws Bridget (Wayne), Peggy (Alonzo). And a host of nieces and nephews, and other family.
