

Geneva was born in George West, Texas to R.B. and Ann Elizabeth Anderson and grew up in San Antonio. She died at the age of 83 with complications of Dementia and a broken hip. Geneva is survived by her husband, Samuel W. Prestidge Jr.; son and daughter-in-law Lew and Terri Prestidge; daughter and husband Lisa and John Phillips; 4 grandchildren, Kelsey Prestidge, Kristin Prestidge, Kasi Prestidge and Walter Phillips; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Geneva graduated from Harlandale High School in San Antonio and Hardin Simmons University in Abilene, Texas. She began her 27 year teaching career at Alamo Heights Junior High in San Antonio and continued at Garland Independent School District from which she retired in 1994. Geneva served thirty years as organist at Shiloh Terrace Baptist Church in Dallas and in addition served as Handbell Director, Children’s Choir Coordinator, and Chairman of the Hospitality Committee. She was a fine musician and an accomplished pianist as well as an excellent organist. She was a devoted Christian and Church Member. Funeral Services will be conducted at Shiloh Terrace Baptist Church, 9910 LaPrada, Dallas at 1p.m. Monday, December 23 with viewing and greeting of the family beginning one hour prior to the service. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Grove Hill Funeral Home, 3920 Samuell Blvd., Dallas. Interment will be in Grove Hill Memorial Park following the Monday funeral service.
