

If you were fortunate enough to know Gerard Papazian, you know he was a man of many talents and accomplishments. You know he graduated from The University of Toronto as an Electrical Engineer and started his very successful career in Toronto before marrying Chris and moving to Montreal. You also know after returning to Toronto, he and Chris had 3 wonderful children, Mark, Marilyn and Paul, and that he was a brilliant, loving, and devoted father. You know many years of shoveling snow encouraged him to move further and further south, first to Pennsylvania, then Nashville, finally settling in Dallas. You know that his Armenian heritage afforded him a love of family, life, and food! In Toronto, he had been active at Holy Trinity Armenian Church, as a member of the Parish Council. Throughout this time, he was President of several Building Products companies, growing each company well beyond its limits and was also a mentor to many, helping them grow their own careers. His last presidency was on the Board of the condo he and Chris shared , where his legacy of excellence continued with vigor, energy, sense of humor and love for life until his very last day. He is survived by his wife, Chris (nee Horasan) his sons Mark and Paul, his daughter Marilyn, his grandson Dylan and his granddaughter Madelyn. Also by his brother Berge Papazian and his wife Evelyn, sister Lilian McFarlane (nee Papazian), and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Services will be on Sunday, April 24th at Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 W. Northwest Highway, Dallas, TX at 4:00pm.
