Gerry Ray Hurst

Gerry was born February 28th, 1951 in Dallas. Being the middle of three children, he learned early on how to make an impression. His life was defined by creativity; from the construction of intricate models, to drawings & sketches, and his true love… music. He was able to experience his Rock and Roll musician dream by playing bass guitar with some of the greats. He studied and worked as an architect until his successful calling as an entrepreneur. Gerry's entrepreneurship took him all over the world; making friends everywhere his feet touched the ground. Gerry loved spending time with his family including his little dog Bingham. We are so grateful for our last family get-togethers at Thanksgiving and in March. Many memories were made and we will keep him and all of the memories we have in our hearts.

Gerry is preceded in death by his father, Milton Ray Hurst. He is survived by his Mother, Doris Hurst. Children and Grandchildren: son, Nicholas Ray Hurst and grandson Liam Tuthill; son, Joshua Raymond Hurst, wife Cristal and grandson Sawyer. Sister, Gwen Hughes. Brother, Randy Hurst & wife Carol. Nieces and Nephews: Scott Hughes, David Hughes, Luke Hurst, Zach Hurst, & Sarah Hurst. Great Nephews & Nieces: Avery Hurst, Colton Hurst, Reid Hughes, Hudson Hughes and Isaiah Hurst.

The service will be held at 10am, Friday, May 2nd at Lake Pointe Church located at 701 E Interstate 30, Rockwall, TX 75087. A Celebration of Life reception will follow which all are welcome to attend to share stories of Gerry. Please feel free to dress in business casual. Lastly, in Lieu of flowers being sent to Lake Pointe Church, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
