Born on March 2, 1939, in LaGrange, Illinois, Glen was the son of Lanta Rahn and Walter Jaekel. He was raised in LaGrange and later earned his degree from Wichita State University in 1973. A proud veteran, Glen served as an Airman First Class during the Vietnam War for three years.
In 1971, Glen married Rosemarie Jordan, and together they raised two children - Marie and Richard. He dedicated more than 40 years to a career in business management, where he was known for his steady hand and quiet dedication.
Outside of work, Glen was a man of simple joys and deep interests. He spent many peaceful hours bicycling around White Rock Lake, stargazing through his cherished Questar telescope, and capturing the beauty of everyday life through photography.
Glen will be remembered by family and friends as a quiet, kind, and gentle soul whose presence brought calm and warmth to those around him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Lanta Jaekel. He leaves behind a legacy of love, curiosity, and quiet strength that will live on in those who knew and loved him.
