He leaves behind, to honor his memory and teachings, his children and their spouses, Gonzalo, Jr. (Brenda), Sylvia (Larry Araiza), Carol (Paul Olea), Paul (Nancy), 15 grandchildren, and 32 great grandchildren, brothers, Crestino, Valentin and Esperanza, and many nieces and nephews.
After retiring from the Dallas Police Department as a Sergeant, Detective, and Polygraph Examiner, he continued his law enforcement career as a Special Investigator for the District Attorney’s Office while achieving his true servant calling as a Catholic Deacon for which he received the Heart of Servant Award.
A public viewing will be held on Monday, December 21, 2020 from 12 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at St. Cecelia Catholic Church, 1809 W. Davis Street, Dallas Tx 75208. A private cremation burial will be held at a later time.
